The Design Process
The first and most important step of the design process is the compilation of a design brief. We discuss each client’s requirements at length to ensure their demands are met.
The designer then develops a scheme and assembles mood boards to help the client visualise what is being recommended. These boards show suggested finishes for walls and floors, examples of suitable furniture and lighting, and fabric samples for curtaining and upholstery.
Layout plans and elevated drawings will also be produced to show the layout of the room and how it will function.
These layout plans and mood boards act as a spring board for discussion with the client. Only when they are fully happy with the proposed scheme will a design specification be produced. This details the agreed design in full, along with a comprehensive quotation.
